the Eternal Love Revolution

Day 2: Gallup, NM to Lindale, TX

Mark Rogers woke and showered while I lay in bed at the nicest Motel 6 we found in Gallup. (The Red Roof Inn was filled to the brim.)  I approached my first interviewee at the Love’s service station before we hit the road…I set a goal to talk to three people before the end of the day.

I spent a couple of minutes talking to Peter. I thanked him for his time.

The thousand plus monotonous miles we covered during the day melted together…

New Mexico

The only fresh aspect to the Texas terrain was Whataburger. I praised the heavens for my return to the sterile orange and blue beef orgy. I shall share the documentation of this feast, and some other highlights of the two day sprint across the Southwest after I get some editing done in the morning. I think the visuals are coming together, but I won’t know if the feel works until I get them all making love to each other in la computadora…

L&P,

Mark Maccora

PS- I only spoke to two people today…both white males, though differing spiritual beliefs. I definitely give myself a D for the day.

It is impossible to earn a “D” on day one of anything.

Marky, I am impressed with your stiction. I also really like how you’ve “graded” yourself. I’d like to see you continue this process, less for the judgement value , and more for us to get a quick idea of how you are “feeling” about your progress. Granted, you’re always dualistically gunning for an “A”, but the “D”s can be just as important, in an all encompassing way.

Continue brotha!
